Wolverines battle under the lights in Orlando

 
 

Ellwood City Wolverines had a tough time generating runs on Tuesday, dropping their game with Celebration 10-4.

Ellwood City Wolverines got things started in the first inning when Will Nardone drew a walk, scoring one run. Celebration knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the third inning.  An error scored one run for Celebration.

Celebration pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Sebastian Rivera drew a walk, scoring one run and Cody Bergeron singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Celebration scored three runs in the sixth inning.  Celebration's big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Rivera and a double by Ciro Yanez. Bergeron toed the rubber for Celebration. The pitcher surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out seven.

Nardone led things off on the hill for Ellwood City Wolverines. Nardone surrendered seven runs on eight hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.  Joseph Roth threw two and a third innings in relief.

Jake Biskup, Jordan Keller, Chase Wilson, and Nick Magnifico all had one hit to lead Ellwood City Wolverines. Celebration racked up ten hits in the game.  Javier Alcantara, Bergeron, and Alejandro Hernandez all collected multiple hits for Celebration.
