CC’s Custer continues on to States

 
 

The Wolverines Cross Country team sent a total of 8 individuals to compete for the WPIAL Championships held at Roadman Park at California University of PA on Thursday and they did not disappoint. The Wolverines finished 8th overall in standings as a team, and was able to send one individual to compete at the upcoming States - Bradley Custer.

7 Boys posted scores for the Wolverines team, with 5 of those times taken for scoring. Coming in first for the Wolverines was Bradley Custer, who posted 25 total points for the team and finished 28th overall with a time of 18.31.8. Drew Steffler came in with the second score for the Wolverines, posting a 43rd place with a time of 19:16.8. The top three was rounded out by Ian Stoneking, posting a 55th place finish overall and a time of 19:31.8.

The lone girl competing for the Wolverines was Avalise Custer, posting a total time of 31:02.5, coming in at 124th overall for the Wolverines.

With the posted time by Bradley Custer, he officially qualifies for PIAA States in cross country. The meet is schedule for this coming Saturday at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA. Start time is slated for 1:15 PM for Single A Boys cross country.
