Wolverines lose to Lancers, but improve

Battle in 2A Section 1 has been tough for the Wolverines as they fall short to the Lancers 4-1 on Monday. However, improvement has been shown. EC battled to the end as the Lady Wolverines won 27 total games on the evening, the most they have all year long.

The Wolverines also came up just short picking up their 2nd match point on the evening as Kailyn Hamilton fought hard, but dropped in straight sets 4-6, 4-6. Maddy McCommons came through for the Lady Wolverines, winning in the first singles match 6-1, 6-0.

The Wolverines now take a break as Thursday is WPIAL Singles Championships where Ellwood City will send 4 individuals to compete. Then the Wolverines will return back in action next Monday at Beaver Falls to finish off Section play on the year.
