Rough stretch continues, Wolverines lose

Each sports team has a stretch of games or matches when the competition is elevated. Such is the case for the Wolverines as they have faced Shenango, Neshannock, and Laurel respectively in that order the past three matches, each ending in the Wolverines defeat.

This time it was to the Spartans, as Laurel prevailed 212-222 at Green Meadows.

Low score of the day for the Wolverines was a great performance by Jordan Keller, posting a 40 which was the second lowest score on the day. Carson Capello also had a good day, finishing with 42 alongside Nathan Williams finishing with 43.

The Wolverines now fall to 3-4 (2-4) and will now need to make a huge charge in the second half of the season while also getting some help along the way to be one of the top two teams to qualify for playoffs.

Next up for the Wolverines is Union at Sylvan Heights this coming Thursday (09/01) at 3:30 PM where the Wolverines will look to sweep the Scotties this year.
