Volleyball continues to split record, now .500

 
 

The Lady Wolverines Volleyball team earned another split this week, losing to the Beaver Bobcats 3-2 on Tuesday while defeating the Riverside Panthers 3-0.

The Wolverines were able to jump to two leads in the Beaver match, but was not able to close out the match in the fourth set. With all the momentum in favor of the Bobcats, the Wolverines lost the fifth set fairly one-sided.

Bouncing back just two days later, Ellwood City bounced back with a straight set victory of the Riverside Panthers.

The Wolverines are now .500 in section at 4-4, with an overall record of 6-5. The Wolverines are tied with Laurel at 4-4 for the fourth spot in playoffs; however, Laurel owns the head-to-head record at the moment at 1-0.

The Wolverines face two section opponents this week - Mohawk Tuesday at home and at Neshannock on Thursday. ECS will have live video stream coverage on Tuesday and results from Thursday.
