CC finishes regular season 8-2, Playoffs start

Cross Country officially finished their regular season on Thursday with a split with Mohawk and Riverside to finish 8-2 overall in section play.

The Wolverines suffered just their second loss on the year, losing a tough battle 25-30 to the Warriors. On the flip side, the Wolverines defeated the Panthers 20-37 to close out the year 8-2.

The Wolverines just missed out their third consecutive section title as Laurel closed out the year undefeated.

Cross Country will now turn to a busy week as they will compete at the MAC Championships this Wednesday at Settlers Park / Cabin in Oakdale, PA. They will then compete on Saturday in the Tri-County Championships that will take place at Neshannock High School.

Finally, if all goes well, the Wolverines will look to close out the year on Thursday, October 27th as they will compete in the WPIAL Championships at Roadman Park (CAL U).

Good luck to the cross country team in the upcoming “playoff” meets!
